On Sunday March 10, 2024 at The Theatre, saxophonist Greg Johnson will take center stage to lead the Reno Jazz Orchestra in a program titled "Jazz Around the World" featuring music from Kansas City, Iceland, Canada and Tokyo. The concert will include some of Johnson's own compositions and also feature him as a saxophone soloist with the band.
Dr. Greg Johnson is quickly becoming recognized as an important voice in the jazz community. His distinctive saxophone sound and compositional style have found their way into multiple genres of Jazz, Classical and Popular music. He has toured and performed with notable Pop and Rock acts and has appeared in concert and on over 40 mainstream recordings with jazz legends Curtis Fuller, Billy Taylor, Bob Mintzer and many more.
